Cecilia is right you should call the the restaurant for that information.
Take out only due to quarantine. First time at restaurant. Nice portions. Delicious food.
Not only was the food delicious, the customer service was fantastic. The owner/manager was exceptional and provided the best assistance! We always dine there and cannot wait until we are able to go back and dine there. Until then, we will support this restaurant by take out! The food is amazing!
Good people
My family and I have been coming here for years. We come here for our special events. Great service amazing food!
Good food and service
I like going here .I love the steak candela and their paella
The service was great, the food was terrible it had no flavor at all. I ordered the seafood panella it was horrible, no flavor at all.
My wife and I have been going there for many years. It has a great and friendly wait staff. The food has always been fantastic. Go for the sangria, my wife always indulges in a 1/2 carafe.
Always a wonderful experience at la candella, friendly staff and excellent food
Very nice atmosphere and good fod
Was disappointed that if I wanted a vegetable instead of the potatoes & rice it would cost $9 extra. Other than that the gazpacho was delicious as was the Chicken Viana. I also like Real Madrid's potatoes better, these were too thick and not crispy enough.
Very good...a hidden gem in staten island. Staff was polite and exceptionally attentive to all our needs. Great place we'll be back...
Good food, atmosphere, and owner friendly and Sangrea
Very nice quiet place, Delicious food. First time there will definitely go back.
To rate this place fairly, we've been here when it was 5 star and also 3 star which is why I give it a 4. Sangria is awesome, food is really good. The decor is nice and they dont rush you out. Definitely worth checking out.
The food it's not Spanish, it's more of a mixture of Mexican food with some Spanish dishes wannabe, but the food it's good especially the flautas. Kitchen guys are the 👍💯
I went here on a Tuesday night and it was pretty crowded but I think we must have had a reservation. I loved the tuna tacos, the empanadas and the bees tacos. The guac, chips were nothing special. I would not order the squid calamari. It did look cool though.
Good food for reasonable prices. A recommended restaurant
Awesome food, great service, by far the best Spanish restaurant on Staten Island
Great food and atentive service. Amazing paella. Cozy, romantic atmosphere.
Cosy place, feels very Spanish. Staff nice, food could be better quality. (But still good)
Went here for my birthday with my family because I wanted Paella. The Paella was good and the service friendly. Some of the menu items were a little sloppy though. I remember coming here years ago and having a better experience. I think La Candela might be on it's last legs.
We usually order the breaded pork chops meal called Empanizados and my wife and I share this because the portion is huge and very delicious. We don't come as often as we used to because we live on the other side of Staten Island but when we do we always enjoy everything. The service is excellent as well as the food.
Great food, service, ambiance
Loved the appetizers. Great food. Big portions. Friendly and courteous staff. Nice atmosphere. Highly recommend.
I just want to throw this out there. There is no choice of salad dressing because their house dressing is amazing. That is all.
Food was good, big portions, service was great. The place smelled like an old cellar and it made me question the cleanliness.
we love going to la candela Espanol the food is very like the place and people are nice you should go see for your self we love to go
Good food and large portions!
Excellent food and service!
The food was bland and when the restaurant gets a little busy the waiter disappeared for a long time. Took us over 20 minutes to get the check after we finish eating. I don't recommend their chicken or shrimp.
The food was very bland and uninspiring. Every course tasted the same. Second visit same results and it was very disappointing. The other reviews stating what was mentioned above are accurate. There are better alternatives in the area.
We had the special, food was good, service was good but halfway through the meal, as my husband picked up his water glass we noticed lipstick on it. We were very disappointed.
The food it's great and very good service
Always a great experience, best Spanish food on Staten island. Great wait staff, terrific bartender! Personal service from the owner himself, they always make you feel at home.
Went with neighbors..food delicious..nice atmosphere
I've been eating at La Candela since I was a teen, and that was more than 30 years ago. We started out a El Charro on Charles St. in the Village when I was in single digits, and a chef from that place left and opened La Candela. Vidal at El Charro loved my Dad so we still went there until it closed. My Dad continued to love La Candela, we had one of his last birthday dinners there in 2016. They never rush the service, the food is consistently good, they will let you adjust the Mexican dinners to your liking. Go a little later for a romantic meal or bring the family. I will always love La Candela. Thank you for being a part of my family's, and my father's life <3
Shared a wonderful 🎂 birthday with very good friends I call them my godchildren thay are always there for me 💘 them thank you for the great day. 💕💋🎈🎉
Very friendly staff. However, my wife and I asked about the paella portion and the waiter told us it ws for 1 person. One order of the paella could serve 3 people easily, but it had no flavor at all. Wound up going home with a ton of it and just threw it out. The escargot was actually very good and the highlight of the meal. Not worth the $100 bill unfortunately. And we really wanted to enjoy it but were disappointed.
Love this place I’ve been coming here for years
Love the food and the service
Wide spread in cuisine. Diverse. Great family environment and alternatives for kids. Seafood 100% fresh and served by some very talented waiters.
Nice atmosphere and the food is pretty good. Love their Red Sangria.
Always great food. Wait staff and service is excellent. The chorizo is fantastic.
I have been going here for 30 years. I have not been there in a few years..The food and their signature red sangria is as good and consistent as it was in the 90s. I very much missed the chips and salsa that started every meal while listening to soft authentic Spanish music in the backround. La Candela Espanola I forgot how much I missed this place
Love the food, sangria and the music! Prices are also reasonable.
The food here is terrible. We went today and the rice looked like rice-a-roni and the enchilada and tacos were bad. We hardly touched it. My 16y old daughter even said it tasted like it came out of a box and a freezer before I made any comments. When We said we didn’t want to wrap anything up it’s almost like the waiter/manager knew the food was bad. The did however reduce our bill significantly.
Terrible. No servers and the air feels werid
Wonderful place. I don't have to look at the menu, I know what I am getting, I always get the paella. Municipal parking lot across the street, cool. If u know me, I like to eat early, before the dinner rush. I like to have the place to myself, it gets crowded after 6:30.
